Welcome from Mrs. Murphy!
Welcome to Genoa Elementary! We are glad that you are a part of our learning community. Our new elementary building is awesome….we have 628 students in our K-5 building and 65 Staff members. Our goal is to educate “World-Class Students” and encourage all students to be life-long learners. Please feel free to meet all our staff members and take a tour of the building. We look forward to an educationally rewarding and challenging school year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Brenda Murphy

On the Right Track:
It's school time again! Remember good nutrition is essential for your child to have a great start to the new year!
Here are some healthy tips:
-
Packing your child's lunch. Talk about healthy items and snacks.
-
Always start your child's day with a healthy breakfast. Include fiber, proteins and whole grains - don't forget fresh fruits.
-
Reassess your child's sleep schedules and make sure they get adequate sleep.
-
Take some time for family fun activities.
Family Matters:
Family time is very important so make the most of every moment spent with those most special to you. Provide memorable family meals by having the kids help with everything from choosing the menu to cooking and cleaning up. Use that time together to catch up on everyone's day or tell stories. Once the dishes are done, gather everyone for a game or family night movie.
"In a world filled with road blocks and stumbling blocks, we need strength, courage, and perseverance."
Reminders from the Office:
-
Please put first and last name on notes sent to school.
-
Please call in each day your child is absent. (419/855-7741, dial 5 then dial 1)
-
Remember...please send a note if you are picking your child up from school.
-
If you pick up your child and park along the curb, you must stay in your vehicle. Please park in the lot if you wish to get out of your vehicle.
