Procedures: After short bell work lesson, students will use football data to figure mean, median, and mode measurements. They will also draw a food plate conforming to govt. standards using their food choices from last week.
Procedure for assembling class work packet for upcoming conferences will be explained. Students should bring science folder/binder with them tomorrow to assemble packet in class.
Assignment: Bring papers to class to sort. Begin textbook notes over Ch. 2. Pages 38-40 are due on Tuesday.

Procedures: After watching a short video discussing the usefulness of sports drinks, students will read discuss a packet explaining the govt. “My Plate” website.
Remaining time will be used to read handout and answer questions about sports injuries getting infected and what snacks are better to eat before and after sports competitions.
Assignment: Keep track of the food you are eating for 2 days to be discussed on Wed. in class.

Procedures: Students will go outside to the football practice field and each one will punt, pass and kick a football. The distances will be recorded to be used later.

Procedures: The 8th grade will participate in selected activities all day. In the morning the class will watch a movie with a football theme. In the afternoon, students will participate in the ”Super Bowl” competition among their various assigned football teams.
